How long do you want to ignore this user?
  • You don't need to cover all the bristles on your toothbrush. A pea sized dollop is enough
  • Use the bread or chips to fill up at a restaurants and take most of the meal home for a second dinner for the price of one
  • Marked down avocados can be frozen whole and used for smoothies or guacamole
  • Try a week of homemade meatless lunches and see how much you save
  • Go halfsies with a friend on streaming services
  • Buy three to five sale items every week for your stockpile. Make sure to rotate any foods.
  • Don't buy school pictures. Just take your own pic of your child the day of the school pictures so you have your own
  • Coffee grounds can be resused. Just add a half the amount the next day for full strength coffee.
  • Use Fsacebook Marketplace for back to school shopping and Christmas
  • Fill out every survey on receipts. They send coupons for doing that
  • Buy used video games, if you buy them at all.
  • Buy from garage sales and sell for more on Facebook marketplace. Most don't want to hit garage sales but will buy jeans for boys for 3 dollars a pair on FB.
  • Stop drinking anything that isn't water

They don't all come from the same person!

These are just today's suggestions from the facebook groups.

  • yah, but not nearly as satisfying
  • Use the bread or chips to fill up at a restaurants and take most of the meal home for a second dinner for the price of one
  • yes, and be sure they give you chips and salsa in the take home bag
  • Marked down avocados can be frozen whole and used for smoothies or guacamole
  • uhhh, no - if it's mushy, it stays at the store... avacado smoothie? ewww
  • Try a week of homemade meatless lunches and see how much you save
  • I think they call this PB&J... no thanks, I have a job
  • Go halfsies with a friend on streaming services
  • I think they call this "stealing"
  • Buy three to five sale items every week for your stockpile. Make sure to rotate any foods.
  • solid idea, and good way to mix it up
  • Don't buy school pictures. Just take your own pic of your child the day of the school pictures so you have your own agree, everyone has an iPhone with a gazillion pics on it
  • Coffee grounds can be resused. Just add a half the amount the next day for full strength coffee.
  • coffee grounds can also be used to stimulate plant growth
  • Use Facebook Marketplace for back to school shopping and Christmas
  • meh... might be ok for some things, kinda like an online garage sale
  • Fill out every survey on receipts. They send coupons for doing that
  • yup, do this all the time (for the same reason)
  • Buy used video games, if you buy them at all.
  • not bad, if you want to be a year behind all the other online players
  • Buy from garage sales and sell for more on Facebook marketplace. Most don't want to hit garage sales but will buy jeans for boys for 3 dollars a pair on FB.
  • the last garage sale I went to was right before Christmas - odd to watch people haggle on a pre-owned garment that is priced at $4
  • Stop drinking anything that isn't water
  • I'm good with this, but suggest we expand that to include beer, wine and milk...

Other ideas...

Cancel your telephone service
Cancel all print media subscriptions
Review your cable subscription - use Netflix/Amazon Video for movies
Perhaps, pull the plug altogether?
Limit the times you eat lunch out at work, just eat a snack and eat dinner at home later
Limit the times you eat out each week, cook at home
Review your insurance policies/premiums
Don't buy expensive coffee at Starbucks, etc.
Brew your own at home

  • lmao. save 2 bucks now on dinner but pay it back later in medical bills after a life of filling up on bread and chips.

I heard today 41% of Americans don't have a $1000 in savings for a medical emergency.

That seemed kinda high, then I read these....

    Wow.

Man, I wish I would've thought of this years ago. Soooo many times I've been eating guacamole and said to myself, "I wish I could somehow make this less viscous and runnier so I could just drink it".
