The worst part is that I can't even take the past greatness of the show seriously. Why re-watch it? All the characters go through hell for this "finale"?

In terms of watchable/entertaining TV, it was great beginning to end.
In terms of how the story line changed the way that they did once they ran out of George R.R. Martin source material, it felt like the series was the kid with the ball sprinting down the field towards the end zone who inexplicably drops the ball before crossing the goal line and the ball bounces harmlessly through the end zone for a touch back.

Agree on both counts. It averaged out to this reaction from me:
I wish greyworm would have told Sam to shut up too at the dragon pit. He should have been told to shut up at the winterfell pre white walker strategy conference call. I'm glad he got laughed at but it was all unnecessary.

The dragon babe does get naked, but my buddy said that many of the characters used body doubles. Still nice to look at.
People are being such whiny titty babies about this season, it wasn't perfect, but just because their favorite Targareon went crazy like they all do they can't handle it. Anyone who expected the perfect fairy tale ending with Jon and Danny ending up together as the beloved rulers of Westeros was setting themselves up for disappointment.
i can't stand dany and i'm glad she's dead. the writing for the entire final season was bad and the finale was laughable.
This season was extremely disappointing from a nudity standpoint.
If I recall correctly, we only got to see 6.5 boobs the entire season:
6 = the three women Bronn was with when Qyburn interrupted him
0.5 = Arya's side boob

That clearly says Bronn, but in my head I read it as Bran, and that resulted in my jaw dropping open and wondering how in the Hell I missed that scene. Then I quickly changed his nickname to the 3-dycked Raven and had a good chuckle to myself before rereading your post.Tree Hugger said:

Everyone keeps talking about the writing being so bad and the season sucking yet nobody has given any specific examples of what was so bad or what should have happened. The writers were in a no win situation, the show had to end and nobody was going to be happy with the ending however it turned out.ac04 said:

if you can't figure out which parts of the writing were awful on your own, there's not going to be anything i can say to help you. glad you enjoyed it.

IMO what you got it what was to be expected trying to wrap up 2 entire books in 13 episodes. I don't mind the ending. I actually kind of liked it. I'm sure the final 2 books will go into detailed character development that the show didn't.
But it did feel very rushed. Doesn't ruin it for me at all.
