You can tell the people who hit their rebellious stage in the 90's. They like awful grunge rock.
Eagles would be a great first choice.

That said, nowadays the only band I listen to that would be considered a rock band is Drive By Truckers.

I love the DBTs.
If I'm stuck on a desert island with only 5 records, yeah, the Eagles is probably one of them.
The Eagles are perfect for bland middle aged white guys.

Pet Sounds is probably in my top 3 favorite albums of all time, but the Beach Boys were wildly inconsistent and most of their albums were 2-3 good songs with a lot of crap filler.safety guy said:

My grandmother was his mothers good friend. I remember going over to his mothers house and sering all the platinum and gold records on the wall and grammys in the display case. My dad went to school with don but was a couple years behind. Don also bought my grandfathers old store in downtown Linden.
Somewhere weve got a on 45 on don's high school band. They were pretty good.

I like this live performance from Houston in '76. Felders and Walsh have some great feel for their guitar solos.

The eagles are my favorite band ever, which stems from my dad listening to them all the time, so I'm a little biased. America is coincidentally one of my favorites as well. In fact, America's Greatest Hits was the first cd I ever bought.
One thing I love about both bands is harmonizing voices and multiple guitars.
I can't take the eagles anymore. They have been removed from my Spotify.

I can't stand most of the bands listed in this thread. I'm not saying they weren't great. But, I'm just tired of hearing their overplayed songs. 50+ years of hearing those songs is quite enough.
