You have a traumatic experience. Psychologist says you should talk about it. Why would I want to do that? Then I have to relive it. Probably better to forget. Or at least put it in the back of my mind and not think about it.

The way I "work through" trauma is to not think about it. Not: think about it a lot and try to explain it to someone who wasn't there and/or couldn't understand. How is that helping?
Exactly this, it's the only way I was able to process all the **** that went on this May.AliasMan02 said:
Because your subconscious mind governs like 95% of your actions, thoughts, emotions, etc and having traumatic things locked away in there has a huge impact on you. So you need to work through trauma so that you can resolve it.
