Reading through https://twitter.com/AzureSupport, there were many businesses impacted. Lighting struck the datacenter in San Antonio which caused the AC units, which provide cooling to servers, to go out. Servers were shut down for protection.
One user that was responsible for 100 nursing homes posted they had to manually call doctors.A radiologist couldn't look at the images for here patients. Lots of users on pins and needles. The twitter feed is worth a read.
