For my 1 day trip to Chicago... am I going to be let down or is it as amazing as all this Chicagoans say it is?

It's very good. You can't go wrong with them, Lou Malnati's, or Gino's East. My preference is Lou's, but they're all good.

Every time I go near New York it is always to New Jersey...

I always loved the deep dish at giordano's when I had to go to Chicago monthly in my 20s. Now I'm old and the thought of it makes me feel sick.

They are the best. If u have time try the restaurant called "safe house" the gb recommend it to me. Really fun place. Take kids if u have them.

Go to Lou Malnati's or Gino's East instead.

May as well just go to Pizza Hut

Better yet. Break away from the tourist crowds and go to Chicago pizza and oven grinder.

I thought it was good, but our table ordered some super meaty one and it was overpowering. It wouldn't be on my list of places to go back to.

My favorite restaurant in Chicago is Topolobampo. Their mole is one of the things I've ever had.

Go to papa Murphy's on Eastwood drive . Ask for Maria.... She'll blow you in the back and offer to buy you a pizza.

We were amazed by this place when we went last fall. Loved it That said we liked giodanos for deep dish and heard about 50/50 split compared to Lou's

Lou's and Gino's are not good compared to Gio's. If you want the best, go to Pequod's and thank me later.

Pequods or pizzeria Uno. Chicago chop house. 25 degrees or Au Chaval for a burger. Get a hot beef while in town. Go to Maude's for the best French food period. Xoco for breakfast. And a million other incredible spots.

Rock Bayless is the owner and chef and the best Mexican cuisine chef in America. Next door is Frontera which is phenomenal and next to that is Xoco which is a fast casual breakfast and lunch spot, best torta I've ever had by a mile. Every meal I ever ate at any of the concepts were nothing short of perfect. He is truly innovative and an incredible person too. Getting a reservation takes about 6 months but xoco is first come first serve and I went as often as possible.

That's exactly right. I've tried all 3 and Giordanos was just ok but the others were great and Lou Malnati's was my favorite.

Pizza is like sex, even when it's bad...it's still pretty good.

Gino's is better, but Chicago doesn't have anything on New York style anyways.
