Spoiler alert, but this is basically how the story ends. Except he did it in his jail cell while awaiting trial for murdering his brother.

I didn't make it that far into this modern Tolstoy serial.

The story itself is amazing if you can make it through the disjointed stylings.

My brother had a guy in a rental property that attempted to squat. He was creepy and would say wildly inappropriate things when only my brother could hear them in attempts to knock my brother off guard. He seemed to know all of the property law and procedures and would stay one step ahead of them until they finally got him to leave. I think the total loss was something like 9 months rent on a 3/2 house plus attorney's fees.


I'm really surprised this guy in the story didn't piss off the wrong person in Philly. I know my relatives up there would have had a guy take care of him.

That was not the ending I expected. I can't believd the brother bailed him out the second time!

His end game isn't all that surprising. He was clearly escalating and it was just a matter of time before he killed someone.

In the end, though, he got what he wanted: a free place to stay where he couldn't be forced out no matter how insufferable he was. Evidently some people just can't be satisfied.

How the hell did this guy not eventually run into someone, or a friend of someone.... who put a gun in his face and demanded him to get the hell out???

Just watched the documentary about him on Netflix. Knew it sounded familiar..then I remembered this thread.
