Been saying this for years. Golf, bowling, gymnastics, etc are not sports. At least not in the top tier of competitive sports

I delineate sports into directly competitive sports and the rest.
The former are where you can directly affect your opponent. Football, basketball, soccer, tennis, even billiards.
The latter, it's just comparing your performance against someone else's. Golf, gymnastics, bowling, track and field, etc. Some sports in this category take very little athleticism; primarily golf and bowling
