Just left Las Vegas late this evening. Footage so far is pretty insane. Thankfully we were on the opposite end of the strip and left not long before this happened.
On a positive note, saw a good amount of Ags this weekend. However, I was shocked at how many Tech people I saw. It was like they had all of their alumni in Vegas for some reason.

Reportedly from a hotel room window above the venue. Just one shooter and possibly an accomplice.

Every time something like this happens and the shooter gets famous, it eggs more nutjobs on looking for their fame.
The media should follow suit, but the least we can do is not spread it.
That being said, these monsters need to be stamped out. No punishment too severe.

Shooter is a 60+ year-old white male. Lived in a retirement community in Mesquite, NV.

Incredible job by LEOs to find and stop this guy so quickly. Seems like it could've easily gone on for a long time if not for the diligent work of the first responders.

It was almost a little luck that they found him. Smoke alarms went off in his room and that's how they located him.

LEOs say he had about eight firearms in his room. Possible even cameras in the hallway to monitor ingress by LEOs. Also sounds like the coward offed himself as police entered.

Better for all of us though. I'd hate to consider them taking him alive, and then dealing with this idiot getting attention for the next 2 years.
I don't disagree. But, the vengeful side of me wishes he'd been wounded in the knees and fallen 32 stories to land on a fireant colony.
Here in Vegas now. Heard the shots from my hotel room then the city lit up with police lights/sirens/helicopters. Pretty sobering! Literally about 300 yards from my room. So sad!
I'm leaving Vegas this morning. Thankfully, we were downtown.
