I come to Aggieland for all of the home games, but kind of stick to a rotation of places that are somewhat generic.

This time, I'm bringing some friends that have never been to BCS and I want to take them somewhere to eat that is not a chain - something unique to Aggieland.

Suggestions?

The BWD brewpub is on Northgate, and their brewery/taproom is in downtown Bryan

Remnant of Nawlins used to be in the Checkers gas station at Holleman/Welsh, but recently moved to a new location off Groesbeck in Bryan

My buddy is a brewpub kind of guy, so this is perfect. We are going to hit the Chicken for a couple of beers, then we could walk over to BWD.

Don't go to Ya East china buffett, the dogs wont eat that mess, it's horrible.
Salt Grass Steak house puts some kind of seasoning on their steak that is rugged, I had to scrape it off to eat the steak, I won't go back. Damned expensive also!!!!

Hullabaloo used to be my favorite place in town. Went this summer and it kinda sucked. Don't know if I'll go back. Makes me sad.

Definitely hit up Lamar and Niki's Soul Food & Pit BBQ on Texas Avenue, in Bryan. They have some of the best BBQ in town, plus all that soul food!. Hit them up for lunch. They are only open til 4:00 pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.
