Emerson = Repurposed surname, popular kitchen appliance brand

Scottlyn = wanted a boy, got a girl, punished her with the name for defiance at conception. Also sounds kinda like Scotland.

We had some in our town too that use the apostrophe before it was an "in" thing to do.

My mom has an apostrophe in her name and she was born in 1963.
