It's been in LA since August. It's been nice getting free ones at the bossier city margaritaville casino.

The in n out of beer.

It's not necessarily bad, but its regional exclusivity makes it seem rare and special, and thus somehow better than just ok.

I had Yuengling Black and Tan with chili for dinner this evening. It's good stuff.

You guys get Yuengling and we get HEB. Sounds like a fair trade to me.

It's the Shiner Bock of the northeast. It's decent enough, better than the mass produced rice water, but nothing outstanding. Just an enjoyable, slightly above average beer.

In my opinion, and that's all that any of this is, our opinions, if you don't / didn't like yuengling, it was either built up too much before you tried it, or you over paid for it. If you were told it was the best beer ever, you are going to be disappointed, or if you paid high end craft beer prices for you are going to be disappoint. But, if you are comparing it to and drinking it at BMC prices, it is signifignantly better than anything else in that price range. It would be like getting shiner for the same price as bud. If you are paying Sam Adams prices for it then you would think it was over rated.

Or, you really just dont like it, which is fine too, opionions being subjective and all.

Weird. I read the entire thread, then after reading your post, I read it again. I can't find a single post where someone is telling another poster what they should be drinking. What I do see is people giving their opinions about a particular beer, which seems to bother you.

If your favorite beer is anything that isn't free then your a snob. Can't stand ****ers that will refuse a free drink because "That isn't what I like"

This. Whether it's movies or music or food or beer, the truest deuoosch of them all is the one so insecure in his tastes that he mistakes any normal discussion amongst differing opinions as an affront to his own basicness.

This is why I drink it. Shiner is a little harder to find at Publix, but sometimes available. Sort of like chorizo and Blue Bell, it's around but sometimes you have to do a little hunting.

Yuengling is awesome for what it is. Really good cheap beer. Like Shiner used to be before they jacked their prices up to match craft brews. Yuengling is what Bud/Miller/Coors would be if they were made well, but sold at the same or lower price than those beers. I like being able to stop at a corner gas station after a long day, and grab a 6-pack of Yuengling Light for $5.99.

Below is a Bud Light, a Miller Light, a Coors Light, and a Yuengling Light. For me it's an easy choice.
