Went mountain biking today. Finished up, threw the bike in the tahoe and started for home

So I am driving along and traffic slows for a one legged duck hobbling across the road. As I stop, so as not to run over the one legged duck, I get hit from behind by a road biker. Look in the rear view mirror and there he is sprawled across my window

Surprisingly, the duck was fine, cept his gone-leg, the rider was fine, the bike was fine, and the tahoe was fine.

Anyone ever been hit by a cyclist while coming home from cycling while stopping so as not to run over a one legged duck before?

I had a cyclist hit me on my way home from work, and he broke his leg.

To add insult to literal injury, he got a ticket for running a red light, and they impounded his bike (he was taken in an ambulance).... well to be more specific, I impounded his bike. Cop didn't have a bike rack, I did. Police station was around be corner.

good. Hope he learn to obey the rules. I bet he thought since he wasn't a full size vehicle, he didn't need to follow the road rules. That's like a midget thinking he can be lawless because he's small.

I hit a guy once on a bicycle. I was in the left lane going about 50 mph, about to pass him. He made a left-hand turn from the right lane without looking.

I was able to slow down to about 25 miles an hour before I hit him.

The first words he said as we got out of the truck were, and I **** you not, "Oh, my fault, my fault. Oh God, I've never been hit by a car before."

That has never happened to me; however, I did get hit by a car while crossing the street about 10 days ago.

Better than the idiot that I smacked on west campus when he ran a stop sign by what would become the West campus parking garage. That jerk had the audacity to tell me that I should look out for bikers. Luckily I wasn't completely morning faced and slammed on the brakes quick enough to just unseat him from his schwinn, not roll over him.

Oh yeh but of course he tried to say I hit him.

Problem was, the impact was a T-Bone, front of his bike hitting my rear driver side door, and I was going through a green light (eye witness stuck around) He had an uproad battle trying to convince that cop it was my fault.
