Costa Sur is awesome. HS friend owns and is the chef there. Great people

Edit: fun fact...costa sur actually started off in the mail n more on the island around 2011. Cool to see it so popular now. The guys running it are actually part peruvian

Graduated HS and moved. Brother lived there for over 40 years and left as soon as he retired.
Thou there are some great people in the area the Govt is idiotic!

Any city that votes down to having a free statue of Jesus (like Rio) because it is too religious is beyond stupid. You literally live in a city called "Body of Christ".

Corpus on the ISLAND doesn't suck...well, other than the taxes.

Yeah...the insurance sucks too.

But, I've never smelled the bay smell unless I'm driving OTB. And Spring Break I can just hop on my boat and head to the ski canals.

As to groceries, we're FINALLY getting an IGA!! Never have to leave (well, when I retire).

As to hurricanes, I moved from DFW. They had multiple tornadoes and hail storms EVERY YEAR. Corpus has had 7 hurricanes hit it in recorded history. I like my odds here better. Plus, I have DAYS of warning that a hurricane is going to hit, as opposed to MINUTES with tornadoes and hail.

Your point about the politicians stands, but then I lived in DFW...not a lot of brainpower there, either.

Used to be a cool town. Had C101 great radio station very random. Today not so good pier 99 is good but for the most part overcrowded and too much crime.
