For us, didn't do top 10%. Of the 14 in my graduating class, 10 of us auto qualified for a state school off of SAT or ACT scores. I was ranked 8th in my class, but my GPA was only 0.25 behind the valedictorian. Percentage class rankings would've destroyed our chances of getting into a non-state school.

Mine was 12, but we were a public school....

We played some TAPPS and TCAL schools though.

When I was working as an academic advisor, you had to have at least 30 in the graduating class to qualify for a top 10% admit option.

I was 12/18 (I'm a good Ag). I think everyone was spread between a 3.5 and 4.0

Is St Paul where the rich folks sent their kids so they didn't have to mix with the Czechs and blacks at Shiner High?

Our tuition was $125/month... If $1250/yr puts someone in the rich category, sure, I guess.

Class size of 14 and 6; did everyone have the same STD after awhile?

Enjoyed my class size of 580. Went thru high school without everyone knowing my whole business and relationships. Also made it easy to be in the top 5%, although the 10% rule was not even a glint in the legislature's eye yet.

Gross. Personally, I didn't date in high school.

In hindsight, I can definitely see some advantages of having attended a normal sized public school. It was freaking amazing when I got to A&M and found out it's possible to have different groups of friends who do different things, you don't have to spend time with people you don't like, your profs don't hate you before they meet you because of gossip they heard in the faculty lounge, etc., etc.

Nothing wrong with being country club rich. Many of us hope to be there one day and they make great tax clients. Did your butler or nanny drop you off at schiool?

If your alma mater (or your high school, I agree "alma mater" should be reserved for a university) is not Canadian High School you don't get to start a thread like this.
