12thman.com updates the performance of Aggies in Lima every day. Said that Jazmine Fray got thrown off her stride in the women's 800 in track when another runner fell in the first round yesterday.

Could have 2 Aggies medal in the heptathlon. Tyra Gittens leads and Annie Kunz is in third after the first day. Both are pretty good in the long jump and will need to score there because they are not so good in the javelin and 800.

After fouling on her first 2 long jumps in the heptathlon, Annie Kunz uncorked the 3rd best jump to move to 2nd place with 2 events left. Tyra Gittens only had the 8th best long jump and dropped to third in the overall points.

Looks like Tyra dropped out after the Javelin knocked her down to 6th in points. Annie Kunz won silver.

Annie did not even know she was going to the Pan Am games until July 24, and on July 28 she finished 4th at the USA Championships, so it's been quite a 2 weeks for her.
