The Art Adamson Invite is this week, Wed-Fri at the Student Rec Center Natatorium. Prelims at 10am, Finals at 6pm. Big chance to get some NCAA cuts and qualifications out of the way in the fall.

Solid morning. Pickrem cruised to a 4:07 in the IM, Clayton Bobo was just .2 off the school record in the 200 free, Katie Portz and Claire Rasmus probably put up fast enough 2 free times to make it, Pickrem broke 1 minute in the 100 breast for the first time and 3 other (Belousova, Powers, and Roubique) were right around the 1 minute mark, Casas was really good (sub 47 fly and back) again.

Guys flat start add up 200 free relay from prelims this morning is 6:22.90, less than 2 seconds off the school record. That's always a rough one at the end of a long session but might be another couple of relay records in jeopardy tonight.

I am really impressed with the men this year than the women. It seems like the men could have all 5 relays swim at NCAA. Great job coaching staff

The ladies still have some work to do. No relay automatic qualification yet. Outside Sydney Pickrem no great performances yet. We definitely have a weakness this year on the backstroke leg of the relays and the 50 freestylers have not really clicked.
I expect the team though to ready for SECs as they normally do with Steve Bultman

Postgraduate/Pro training group for men and women also had some good swims, but none better than this.

Great Swim by Lisa Bratton. What is even more scary was the 1.49.17 time was done without being tested or pushed by another swimmer.

The women can swim 3 relays at NCAA. As long as you have the B cut and at least 1 swimmer qualified for the meet you can bring people to swim those relay cuts. Obviously they have more than 1 person qualified. They don't have the 200 free or medley cuts. Plus you can use add up flat start times for the 800 free relay for Rasmu/Portz/Pickrem/Yelle (1:44.22/1:44.77/1:46.34/1:46.49) which equals 7:01.82 and is under the A cut for that relay.
