2018 NCAA Men's Golf Championship Aggies advance to Quarterfinal Match Play
In the NCAA Men's Championship play, after three rounds of stroke play, the Aggies finished eighth.
As a result, the Aggies have advanced to Quarterfinal Match Play which will determine the NCAA Men's Golf Champions.

Tuesday's Quarterfinals Parings:
#1. Oklahoma State vs. #8 TAMU -- this will be a very difficult match
#2. Duke vs. #7 sips
#3. Texas Tech vs. #6 Alabama
#4. Oklahoma vs. #5 Auburn

Like I read on the twitter last night, it's stupid that they don't re-seed before matchplay by national ranking instead of stroke play standing. We are 2 in the country and OSU is 1. Very tough matchup

Wow. I'm not a golf fan so I didn't realize how dominate the SEC and Big XII are in golf. If it wasn't for Duke, it would be an all SEC/Big XII affair.

Is that typically true or is this an atypical year?

The Aggies ended the regular season ranked #2. Unfortunately, in the Match Play portion of the NCAA Men's Golf Championship, the Aggies were paired against the #1 ranked Cowboys on their home turf.

I am sorry that I did not notice we have a Golf Section on Texags. I was just so excited how well we were doing this season. Fortunately, next season should definitely be even better. Six of our Top Seven golfers return.
