I'm dumb...ha Can't figure out how to delete a post

Been waiting for the roster to come out but I stopped looking for it with all this Harvey business. First meet is tonight. any reports would be welcome.

Roster is up. Men looked great. The male freshmen ran unattached and beat some of the veterans who scored. Women are young and missing a couple of pieces at the moment but still won the meet handily. Starting the year off with a sweep of the Longhorns is never a bad thing.

So what is the sched for the meet on Sat 09/23?

Is Karis Jochen still not running or what?

Her CC eligibility is up. She redshirted track in the spring, so you'll see her back then.

Great. Sat next to her parents for a number of years at Kyle Field, then kind of lost track of them. M & D are good people, good parents. Wish her the best.

How did the meet end up today?

Men and women both won.

Congratulations to Christian Farris and Jon Bishop who advanced to XC Nationals. They led the men to a 3rd place finish at Regionals; a little tighter grouping and we would have finished 2nd.

Kelsie Warren had a good chance to make it, disappointing she was a DNF. I think the women would have finished 4th with her.

Breakthrough run for Jon Bishop. Can't say enough about a guy that's a miler going out there a running a 10K like that. Really looking forward to seeing him on the track this spring.

Yes, it was a great run by Bishop. Was hoping they could pull off second, but maybe next year as the freshmen develop. The distance crew will have something to prove on the track this spring.

Felt bad for Ms. Warren, she has had some great races this fall. Hopefully she will have a speedy recovery. The women are improving as a group, will be interested to see how things go.

The women will have a considerable infusion of talent from this year's signing class too.
