Jayci is a good player, that's for sure! She made the quarterfinals (I believe) in a pro tournament in Austin last fall. Will be a good addition to the team
Yes Jayci has huge potential but it needs to be properly managed though. Heard she also visited Alabama and TCU.
A word of warning though but we might be back to the Kleniecke days of getting recruits ranked 30-60 on TennisRecruiting. Haven't had a recruit ranked this low since the class of '09
Was looking up her pro results from this past summer. She beat Stephanie Nauta who had a great college career at Virginia playing #3 singles for a top 10 program. She also beat Ilze Hattingh in the next round ranked as high as 599wta. Pretty good results for a 16 year old.
Might have been a little stacking on Rice's part. Their All American was at #3. But still all the lines were pretty competitive and this was at home too.
Anyone know about Saska Gavrilovska's injury? Is she expected back soon? Adding back an All American singles player to the lineup will help the team get over their recent struggles.
Very good result and year so far especially when you consider the fact that Coach Weaver serving as the sole coach and also without likely the best player on the team not contributing at the moment due to injury one must assume.
Great win by the ladies last night over TCU Believe they were higher ranked (15) than the Aggies. The ladies have a couple of big SEC matches this week still. #21 South Carolina Friday, then #1Florida on Sunday. Looks to be great weather to head out and support the team.
Have to go 5-5. Hard to predict what will happen especially since half the team seems to be injured.
Does anybody know the limit on the number of regular season playing dates? I know other SEC schools have gotten over the .500 rule by triple scheduling an opponent from the SWAC on the same date.
