Preseason national team rankings released by USTFCCCA this week include Texas (men No. 7, women No. 5), Texas A&M (men No. 11, women No. 35) and Baylor (men No. 27, women No. 13).

Texas A&M enters the weekend with a crew of collegiate leaders in the early portion of the indoor season from the meet they hosted in December. A couple of those efforts are current world leaders as well.

In the women's 4x400 relay the Aggies currently lead the world and collegiate indoor list in 2017 with a time of 3:36.10 while a second Texas A&M group is the U.S. leader at 3:40.06. Running on the winning Aggie squad were Jaevin Reed, Kadecia Baird, Danyel White and Glorilisha Carter. The runner-up foursome included Amber Ivy, Briyahna Desrosiers, Diamond Spaulding and Jarra Owens.

Fred Kerley is the current world leader in the 200m with a time of 20.85 while Diamond Spaulding tops the collegiate ranks in the women's 200m with her 23.37. Jazmine Fray is the collegiate leader in the 1,000m with her Aggie school record of 2:43.15.

In an interview with Coach Pat Henry he is very pleased with Fray's performance and expects her to have a really solid year.

Another world-leading mark from the Reveille Invitational in December was established in the men's 4x400 relay (3:09.73) by a post-collegiate crew called Track Station, in which the foursome includes Texas A&M alums Carlyle Roudette, Donavan Brazier and Braylon Taplin.

Saturday's edition of the Texas A&M Team Invitational features nine returning winners from last season, including three Aggies in Aaliyah Brown (200m), Alison Ondrusek (weight throw), and Jacob Wooten (pole vault) as well as Austin Cook, who set a meet record in the men's weight throw during the 2015 meet.
