Rivalry matchups, big names highlight Week 3

USC quarterback Matt Barkley and all the other fourth-year Trojan seniors have won a lot of games — 29, to be exact.

But none of them were over Stanford.

Over the past three seasons the Trojans lost to the Cardinal in just about every way possible.

They were blown out in 2009 when the Cardinals’ Toby Gerhart rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns in a 55-21 thrashing that was the Trojans worst loss since 1966.
