Regarding a possible D1A football playoff system, the comments by Grant Teaff and the Cotton Bowl chairman shed some good light on why it is such an uphill battle to put such a system in place.

Another interesting point made by Teaff is that he supports getting rid of some of the regulations regarding contacting recruits. There is so much cheating going on by coaches with facebook and pay-as-you-go cell phones that the ones being penalized are the ones following the rules. It sounded like they are looking seriously at this change.
