Homer, Brandon, Gabe & Peter Kuo tell the story of TexAgs

Gabe Bock was joined in-studio by 12th Man Magazine's Homer Jacobs and TexAgs president Brandon Jones, and on the phone line with founder Peter Kuo, as they discuss Homer's recent feature story on TexAgs.

Topics discussed by TexAgs founder Peter Kuo in the second segment:
* Loves what has happened with the site and is amazed by what it has become under the leadership of Brandon Jones and crew.

* Originally named the site something goofy like theultimateaggiesite.com but realized that something shorter was needed.

* Came up with the name for the site after seeing “TEX AGS” on his license plates. He didn’t think the A&M offices would have a problem with that name and it stuck.

* Was a lurker on GoBig12.com and wanted to create a more A&M-centric website after rumors started that GoBig12.com was going to become a Longhorn-centric site.

* After the company he worked for was bought out, he had time to pick up a book on how to build web pages and started building TexAgs from the ground up.

* He and now Brandon Jones have had multiple offers to buy TexAgs and package it with other college websites around the country, but after seeing the community that was formed around the site, neither of them decided to sell.

* About six months into TexAgs, he was approached to help build a Longhorn-type version of the site which he ended up helping with a little bit.

From the article earlier in the week, he sounds like one hell of a guy.
