The Texas A&M football program continued its summer run of 2017 class commits when Stafford wide receiver Hezekiah Jones announced via Twitter his intentions to join the Aggies.

Rated No. 38 in the Liucci 44 and a consensus four-star prospect by every major recruiting service, Jones — who will be participating in the prestigious Under-Armour game in January — is known as a track athlete with world-class speed sporting a 4.38 forty on his resume. He's considered an accomplished outside deep threat on the football field with excellent acceleration in-and-out of cuts in his route running.

An early recruiting target for Kevin Sumlin after a sensational sophomore season, Jones originally committed to Baylor but opened up his recruitment after the removal of head coach Art Briles.

A close friend of quarterback Kellen Mond, who also decommitted from Baylor and threw his hat in for the Aggies last month, Jones focused his recruitment on five schools: Houston, Auburn, Notre Dame, Alabama and Texas A&M. However, Jones' previous relationship with the A&M coaching staff and the earlier commitment of Mond gave the Aggies a big advantage in phase two of Jones' recruitment.

The 6-1, 192-pound Jones joins current verbal commits Camron Buckley and athlete Roshauud Paul at the wide receiver position, and gives Texas A&M a total of 19 commits in the 2017 class.
