Notes from Billy's breakdown

  • Jake Hubenak is a very important member of this football team. Each of the last two seasons A&M has needed a second quarterback, so having a guy like Hubenak is key.

  •  If you were ranking the top 30 players as the “top 30 most important players”, Hubenak would undoubtedly be towards the top. He would be in the top 10 for sure.

  • The overwhelming majority of what was heard last year was that Jake Hubenak is a guy that this team would fight for.

  • He is a team guy, and was in every situation when A&M was going through the turmoil of last season.

  • Hubenak can play. He led this team during the bowl game and gave A&M a chance to win against Louisville.

  • There are a million different ways that Jake can play a key role on the field. Even if he is not on the field, he holds a significant importance for the Aggies.  He is an invaluable player on this team.

Notes from Olin's thoughts on Hubenak

  • You want your backup QB in the top 30 players on your team. Jake Hubenak has showed that he is a good player.

  • There is optimism about him, he started slow and came on as the games developed, especially in the Louisville game.  Hubenak had the Aggies in a position to win against a good Louisville team in the Music City Bowl.

  • Hubenak is a great team guy.  He had an opportunity to play big time college football at Texas A&M and he took it.

  • He should be endeared by all Aggies for his commitment for A&M for the rest of his career and beyond.

  • Jake Hubenak would have a realistic shot to start on most teams in the country, as well as in the SEC.  He is not a star, but he is legitimate college football player.

Hubenak once showed me a video of him making love to my wife, and it was the most beautiful damn thing I ever saw!

Nice Champ. That should have been in a Dos Equis commercial.
