Courtney Walker looks back on UT win, ahead to Mississippi State

On the OT victory against Tennessee...
"I just knew that I had to be aggressive since Courtney Williams had fouled out and I was kind of the only one to start to get it going in the fourth quarter. To go to overtime, I had a great shot, I had a lot of space but I missed it short and Anriel Howard just did what she does and grabbed a great rebound and put it back. We were like 'No, Anriel!' but she made it. That's the shot she practices all the time, so she took it under pressure and hit it.

"In overtime I just tried to continue to be aggressive and I started to get a lot more of the bump fouls on the drive and I tried to drive more since my shot wasn't really going, so I was able to make those free throws at the free throw line."

On maintaining energy in the fourth quarter...
"I think we just have to be focused in our halftime speech and the adjustments we make, and we have to be able to execute those adjustments because the other team is making adjustments as well, so we have to be able to adjust and execute those in the third quarter and sometimes we catch ourselves in the fourth. Sometimes we have been able to recover, and sometimes we haven't. If we can just keep the same energy up that we have in the first half when we are playing well, then we won't catch ourselves in those holes."

On the focus in practice in preparation for Mississippi State...
"They have put a lot of pressure on the defense, so just being able to handle that pressure and being able to still execute is a big thing. Just being able to play our game and not catch ourselves getting out of our game and to execute, and push the ball and try to make more shots than we did last game."

On how the 12th Man, the program and the team has affected her over the past four years...
"I think they have been huge. Just getting to know all of our fans and going out around the community and the support we have received has been huge, and I think that is one of the main reasons that drew a lot of us here, especially me. To come here and feel the vibe of the 12th Man and the spirit when you are on campus and how everyone is together as a family has been huge for us, especially the ones from out of state"
