Football Recruiting: 2016 Liberty Christian QB Nick Starkel

With the departures of Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray, Texas A&M found itself depserately needing to a quarterback late in the 2016 football recruiting cycle. On Friday, Kevin Sumlin and new offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone found their man in Argyle's Nick Starkel.

“I was always looking at A&M and was always going to take a visit,” Starkel said after making the decision. “I think the icing on the cake was that Noel Mazzone and Taylor Mazzone took the job at A&M. My mom was a huge fan of them from when we met them at UCLA a long time ago.
