Draft-eligible Aggies say "we're not going anywhere"
Here's some good news about Texas A&M Football.
While the search for a new offensive coordinator continues, Signing Day draws near and many are deciding what to take from Eric Hyman stepping down as athletic director, three of the Aggies' team leaders who had been rumored to be interested in testing the NFL Draft's waters gave a firm 'no sir' to that notion on Wednesday.
Junior defensive end Daeshon Hall was the first to tweet his intentions to stay in school another year, followed by redshirt sophomore receiver Ricky Seals-Jones and then junior receiver Josh Reynolds.
During his junior season Hall posted 54 tackles, 14.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks and two forced fumbles.
In what was considered (clearly) a breakout campaign, Seals-Jones — the former high school quarterback — caught 45 passes for 560 yards and four touchdowns. He had multiple receptions in 11 of the Aggies' 13 games and had six catches for 107 yards and a score in A&M's loss to Alabama.
Reynolds, for his part, finished with 907 yards and five touchdowns on 51 catches. He obtained 11 of those receptions and 177 of those yards in the 2015 Music City Bowl alone.
