Left Idling: Bye week arrives at opportune time for Texas A&M
The Aggies are idle worshipping.
Even though Texas A&M has posted a 5-0 record, claimed consecutive victories over SEC opponents and has gained more than 500 yards of offense in three of its past four football games, the Aggies are welcoming a bye week.
Some might prefer not to interrupt the wave of momentum they’re riding, but the Aggies see the break as a much-needed blessing before resuming the season on Oct. 17 against Alabama.
Offensive tackle Avery Gennesy said he would spend the off week on extra study time on Alabama and watching the Crimson Tide play Arkansas on Saturday.
