Could the Southeastern Conference be next?

The league that produced seven consecutive football national championships hasn’t won a national title in two years. Last season the SEC was merely 6-5 in postseason games against opponents from other major conferences. SEC teams went 3-3 against the Big Ten.

SEC champion Alabama was even knocked out of the football playoffs by Ohio State, once a postseason punching bag for the SEC.
