Langham Creek wide receiver Quartney Davis commits to Aggies
A visitor to Texas A&M's first Sunday one-day camp, 2016 Langham Creek wide receiver Quartney Davis showed the Aggies enough to confirm he was worthy of an offer.
Eight days later, he jumped on it and became A&M's sixth commitment in a 10-day span.
The 6-2, 180-pound Davis chose the Aggies and announced it on Twitter on Monday. He held offers from Michigan State, Oklahoma State, Utah, California, Houston and others prior to Texas A&M's.
As a junior in 2014 Davis caught 35 passes for 901 yards and eight touchdowns. He joins Frankston's Kendrick Rogers on the list of Aggie wide receiver commits.
Davis also follows Franklin Centennial (Tenn.) linebacker Tyrel Dodson, Bossier City Airline (La.) offensive lineman Colton Prater, Rogers, Converse Judson defensive end Alton Robinson and tight end Irvin Smith of New Orleans Brother Martin (La.), all prospects who verbally committed to Texas A&M since Dodson opened the floodgates on June 5.
