Chief's Outlook: Chavis encouraged by pieces in place

Ever since John Chavis left LSU and arrived at Texas A&M, most have felt it to be just a matter of time until the Aggie defense is rebuilt into a new version of the old Wrecking Crew.

Chavis on Thursday night indicated that time could come sooner than many might anticipate.

Addressing the media for the first time as Texas A&M’s defensive coordinator, “Chief” said he felt the Aggies already had the sufficient talent to build a powerful defensive unit.
