By most accounts Philip Fulmer was a very good college football coach.
From 1992 to 2008 his Tennessee Volunteers posted a 152-52 record. That included a national championship, two Southeastern Conference titles and six first-place finishes in the SEC East.
Yet, in the mid-2000s he was also known for overseeing a team with players that frequently ran afoul of the law.
