Texas A&M’s first junior day was mostly for the top players in the class of 2016, but the staff also invited a select few of the state's top sophomores. One such standout was Langham Creek's Carter, who was surprised by an A&M offer while he was on campus.

The 5-11, 195-pound running back figures to be one of the top prospects in the country for 2017.

“Man, getting offered by A&M was big,” Carter said.
