Heisman Hopefuls: SEC stars take over the rankings

Each week of the college football season TexAgs’ Olin Buchanan will reveal how he would rank the top five contenders. The rankings reflect how he would vote if the Heisman ballots were due that day. Buchanan has been a Heisman Trophy voter since 1993.

Week 5 Heisman rankings

1. Todd Gurley, Georgia, RB: Though he only is ranked 24th in rushing with 402 yards, Gurley has been exceptional against major opponents.
