Aggies seeking to fill in holes on defense

Texas A&M football coach Kevin Sumlin on Monday night confirmed reports that sophomore linebacker Shaan Washington has been sidelined by a broken clavicle.
Washington, who was making a serious charge to win the starting job on the strong side, is expected to be out up to six weeks. He could return in time for the Aggies' game against Arkansas on Sept. 27.
“Shaan has a broken collarbone and is out four to six weeks,” Sumlin said after practice. “It’s a wait-and-see deal.
