In February Elam blew up on the recruiting scene, picking up offers from LSU, Alabama, Texas and Texas A&M in a span of ten days. Since then, Elam has become one of the most coveted prospects in Texas regardless of position. Friday's head-to-head win over SEC West rival LSU is a major step forward in upgrading the overall talent level in the A&M defensive backfield. At 6-3, 170 pounds, Elam epitomizes the long and rangy DB prospect that Terry Joseph has put a premium on since arriving in Aggieland.
