State 7-On-7: Comprehensive recap from Leander

Here are some thoughts and notes (compiled by the TexAgs team … we were out in force at the state 7-v-7 tournament) from the annual event:
 
I’m not so sure the three best players at this year’s state 7-on-7 tournament weren’t A&M commits Jamal Jeffery of Lufkin and Lake Travis RB Shaun Nixon, plus Stephenville QB Jarrett Stidham (in that order).

Let’s start with Jeffery, whose performance surprised just about all of the recruiting analysts and scouts in attendance.
