Key quotes from Michael Lamothe Interview:

"It was so cool to see all the former players at the spring game this weekend. I attended my first tailgate this weekend."

"I definitely miss football. It feels like it has been a year or two, and if school wasn't keeping me busy I would miss it more."

"I'm looking to go into a job in the oil field, either in sales or engineering."

"It was encouraging to watch the offense beat the #2 defense because that's what they're supposed to do. Both Trey and Brandon Williams look fast."

"We're not skipping a beat at running back. Mike Matthews also did a really good job at center."

"Johnny's deep balls looked really nice and he was able to hit the receivers in stride."

"Having Johnny stay in the pocket is making everyone better. When he starts scrambling, it's hard for the O-line to learn."

"The past four years had a lot of change. Earning a degree from A&M is the biggest accomplishment of my life."

"My role was pretty different my sophomore and junior year. I learned from Jerrod Johnson about change and became a leader."

"My wife and I grew up together. We went to rival high schools and did long distance in college. It's good to have her here now."

"It was so awesome to go out with a Cotton Bowl win. I thought it was going to be a tougher game, but we played our A game."

"The seniors took on leadership roles in the summer and led 7 on 7s. Guys like that really helped with our success this year."

"Johnny has confidence in practice. When he stepped out and scored one the first drive of Florida game, I knew we had something."

"I have nothing but great things to say about Jameill Showers. He's a hard worker and is going to do great things."

"A lot of the character and success is attributed to Mike Sherman. He recruited blue-collar athletes which is what you need."

"I'll always remember the bob-play on the punt against Alabama. They called punt up and I was afraid to give Bama another shot."

"I remember the celebration after the game the most. Nothing better than celebrating with your brothers."

"The locker room was crazy when we found out about the black uniforms against MSU. I thought they looked sweet."

"Being from Louisiana, losing to LSU was sickening. However, we turned it into a turning point and didn't lose again."

"The future of Texas A&M football is very bright under Sumlin. We're back on the map and have a target on our back."

I got to interview Michael a couple months ago (I work in oil and gas). It was great getting to meet him and talk to him. He seems to have a great head in his shoulders. I was really impressed with how although he didnt have any work experience in the past (obviously football took pretty much all his time), he was able to really draw from his leadership through Aggie football. Great representative of Aggies everywhere and Aggie football as well.

Best of luck Michael. If you don't get something by then I'll be looking out for you again in the fall at the career fair.
