My Three Things
Just a few things that have been on my mind1. I love the Aggies tapping into other regions, but what is even better is seeing them offer guys early who are just starting to emerge as top prospects. I look at out of state guys like Jack Stewart, Tayquon Johnson, and Patrick Lucas, and in-state guys like Baylor Cupp, Nnamdi Adim-Madumere, and David Gbenda. The Aggies have been the first, or among the first, P5 programs to offer each. That makes me believe they know what they are looking for in a prospect and when they see it they go get it. It also speaks to their out-of-state contacts and the depth of their video research. 2. Speaking of David Gbenda, good night do I love his tape. I have to admit the first time I heard about him was when Ryan started talking about his performance at the Opening Regional in Houston last week. Then he took home LB MVP honors. Then the Aggies offered. Now he has shot up my short list of linebackers in a hurry and his offer list has grown considerably in the last week. His tape is impressive and in my mind it puts him right up there with Marcel Brooks and Rian Davis as my favorite in-state linebackers on the field. He fights through traffic, finds the ball, and arrives angry. What is not to like about that.3. I really struggled with where to go on this one. Would I talk DB recruiting, Demani Richardson's commitment, TEs, or something else. Well, I think we've talked quite a bit about all of those subjects so I want to go another direction. It is time for a new name so let me introduce you to Camar Wheaton. This guy is a 2021 prospect, but he is as must know as Kendrick Blackshire or Hayden Conner. At 6-1, 190-pounds the Garland Lakeview Centenial running back has already clocked 10.8 100m in 2018, and he recently picked up his first scholarship offer from TCU. He will be at Arkansas this weekend and I will not be shocked one bit if the Razorbacks decide to offer as well. He was named 10-6A Newcomer of the Year after averaging over 12 ypc and rushing for a team leading 880 yards and 11 TDs. He did that while not playing varsity until the 4th game of the year, and he saved his best performance for last. Against Dallas Jesuit he rushed for 439 yards and 5 TDs and averaged almost 20 yards a carry in the Patriots 79-55 playoff loss to the Jesuit Rangers. Put him on your radar now.https://www.hudl.com/video/3/10742955/5a8d1e0ab3c85f0eb41e3f8d

2019 Maryland defender talks A&M offer
Last night the Aggies extended an offer to fast rising Williamsport (MD) DT Tayquon Johnson "They have a outstanding football program that fits what I'm looking for in a college, and have an outstanding academic program that will help me in my academic success," Johnson said.Defensive line coach Elijah Robinson is leading the Aggies recruiting efforts and Johnson is planning to schedule a visit. He has been offered by Texas A&M, Rutgers, Virginia, and Kentucky in the last two weeks and at this time he is keeping an open mind."I dont have favorites because i want to be as opened minded as possible to better myself in education," Johnson said.

More offers go out - added some notes and quotes
DT Camron Jackson, Haynesville"I'm excited I'm looking forward to seeing what they have to offer at College Station. I know Jimbo Fisher is a winner so I know they will win ball games even the ones. I think it's about to be grow into something quite interesting at A&M."S Chris Thompson, DuncanvilleThompson says he is intrigued by the offer. Coach Linguist did the honors of extending the offer. When he thinks of A&M, a few people jump to the front of his mind"When I think of Texas A&M, I think of Justin Evans, who's currently in the NFL, Leon O'Neal Jr, who just recently signed, and of course the head coach, Jimbo Fisher."He has already taken visits to Texas and Baylor, and he does not have any plans currently scheduled. He is currently taking his time and soaking in all of his options. As for the recruiting process, there are a few things he likes more than anything else."The best part of the recruiting process has been touring the athletic facilities, learning about the academic programs, and of course the photoshoots," Thompson said. Also, being comforted, sort of, because I'm being provided a free education from a college of my choice."ATH Ja'Quinden Jackson, DuncanvilleOn Texas A&M: "It's a great program and I would look forward to visiting."He was offered by coach Linguist today. He has already taken a visit to Baylor and he has a visit coming up to Texas. He does not claim any leaders right now.OL Omari Thomas, Eads (TN) Briarcrest ChristianOn his reaction to being offered: "I was very excited about the offer and I was a bit shocked. They had been asking me to come down, and I was going to try to get down there with some more of my teammates. But I'm humble and thankful."On what he thinks of when he thinks about A&M: "I think of Johnny Manziel. He had swagger and I feel Texas A&M program has swagger and I would say I play with a lot of swagger myself."Coach Dickey extended the offer today, and the two are already familiar with each other from Dickey's days at Memphis."Yes I did have a relationship with him when he was at Memphis he recruited our school hard," Thomas said. "He is a great person and very down to earth and keeps everything truthful."He does not claim any leaders right now and he does not have any specific visit plans right now. *******************Duncanville 2020 QB/ATH Ja'Quinden Jackson received an offer todayhttps://twitter.com/JaayUpNext_/status/968195908956512257https://www.hudl.com/video/3/7591645/5a1c4d8164e9bc0cfcfb1088He was the first Texas prospect in the 2020 class to receive an offer when Texas Tech did the honors a couple of years ago.Eads (TN) Briarcrest Christian 2020 OL Omari Thomas https://twitter.com/901_sxvxge/status/968221214379474945https://www.hudl.com/video/3/7621711/59c8fde7d469590d4810324f

TexAgs National Average Rating

The TexAgs National Average Rating is a proprietary formula that calculates an industry-wide aggregate rating for each recruiting prospect. The formula includes publicly listed grades, scores, ratings and rankings by national recruiting services, along with a TexAgs rating. Combining the data provides a rating for each prospect, which is then normalized to fit the TexAgs Rating 100-point scale.

The intent of this rating is to provide TexAgs readers with a comprehensive snapshot of how individual prospects rank nationally.

Staff Predictions

The predictions represent which school each staff member believes will ultimately sign the recruit, and the confidence meter represents his level of certainty in that outcome.

Example #1

If the predicted school is Texas A&M and confidence is set to “High”, then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Texas A&M and I feel very certain about that.”

Example #2

If the predicted school is “Alabama” and confidence is set to “Low,” then the staff member is saying “I believe that this recruit will ultimately sign with Alabama, but I’m not very certain about that.”
