Profile
Garrett Gramling might not be the most well-known or heralded member of the Ags' top-ranked offensive line haul but he's enjoyed as much on-field success as any member of A&M's 2010 class.

At 6-6, 320 pounds, Gramling is the Ags' largest o-line signee. He combines mammoth size with tremendous footwork. Gramling has long arms, is very light on his feet and is quick out of his stance and into his pass sets. In fact, he's probably as adept and experienced a pass blocker as Mike Sherman has signed since arriving at A&M.

In his last two years protecting Denton Ryan quarterbacks, Gramling allowed just a single sack and graded out at over 90-percent. As a senior, Garrett earned 5A First Team All-State honors. In 14 games, he didn't allow a sack, graded out at 94% and registered 43 pancakes. In '08, Gramling yielded just one sack and recorded 30 knockdowns to go along with 23 pancakes.

Once he arrives in College Station, Gramling will likely require a redshirt season, as he probably needs a year of weight room work to get his body to the point of being college-ready. Gramling spent his entire high school career in a pass-happy offense, so he'll also need time to work on playing with a lower pad level and working on his physicality.
What They Are Saying
"From a high school standpoint, Garrett's size and strength, coupled with his great feet and intelligence, were a tough combination for people to deal with. He's got great feet for a big kid, and that's going to be an advantage for him at A&M. We've always liked having intelligent kids playing on the offensive line because it's a tough place to play. He's got a lot of things going for him. He's a very high-character kid, too. He's got a little bit of everything going for him and I think that is going to help him at A&M." - Denton Ryan head coach Joey Florence.

"Gramling has great size for the tackle position at the major level of competition. Displays good athletic ability and balance in space but needs to improve his flexibility and explosion. Plays in a two point stance and appears to have a little lower body stiffness, although he runs well downfield. Must become more explosive coming out of his stance as an inline blocker; at times more of a mauler; flashes aggressiveness and works to finish blocks; shows balance in space at the 2nd level but doesn%u2019t crush linebackers when he gets the chance; flashes good step around ability." - ESPN/Scouts Inc.
