I agree. He is almost not human. Nobady makes the players around him better or get them involved like he does. Nobody can make crazy ass shot after shot at the end of games like he does. Thats the definition of player of the year if you ask me. Three of our starters fouled out and others were in serious foul trouble and it was still that close.

he is amazing... despite the outcome, i don't see how anyone can deny he is unbelievably great

Law is definitely the PLAYER OF THE YEAR in the Big XII and in the Nation. Durant got totally out-classed, out-played, and out-efforted by Law and the entire Aggie squad. To me, it feels like we won that game.

You know, before this game everyone was saying that this game would determine POY....after this game I don't know how anyone could not give it to Acie!

He put this team on his back once AGAIN and almost carried them to another win. We had two of our key players out in Joe and JC...and it didn't matter. _urant still had his whole frickin team out there with him.

Acie Law = POY....end of story!!!!!

Durant is not POY. Acie is the DEFINITION! He absolutely deserves it.

Law is the best basketball player in the nation. He may not be the most talented, but he is the BEST. If he has the ball in his hands at the end of the game, we cannot lose.

sitting here in the aftermath of that crushing defeat i cant help but be amazed at how good this kid actually is. he is the definition of clutch, being that when we need him he's always there to bail us out of a jam, and he makes the guys around him ten times better. and he hardly ever gets enough credit for that.

I agree, Acie should be POY, but remember...unfortunately we are not the ones voting. The slimebags in the NCAA do not look at A&M as a decent team so they will overlook the "God of basketball" and give it to someone less deserving (Durant). So I hate to be the downer but you guys can forget about it.

Yes, Acie had an epic game with some crazy clutch shots. However...it's not like Durant played a shabby game...30 points, 16 rebounds.

Don't forget that a Freshman is leading the Big 12 in scoring, rebounding, and is also leading an extremely young team to a Top 3 Big 12 finish.

To deny either guy would be a slap in the face to the basketball gods.

ESPN just picked Acie as player of the year. Do they wear maroon glasses? Durant is the best player in the country, but ACIE LAW is the player of the year.

No doubt about it, Acie Law is the Big12 MVP. Durant is great too, but he's no Acie Law this year.

What the Horns have done in the last month, especially, is very impressive. I thought the media was overly harsh after our first game of the year (it never factored into their analysis that a young team would improve).

I don't take anything away from Durant, the guy is unbelievable, but he's getting NBA star treatment in conference play, imo. I'll be curious to to see if that continues into the NCAA's.

if we would have won the game for sure, but the headlines are still reading "Durant beat the Aggies." He out played Durant all night and I hope voters saw it and took note.

Durant also gets a lot of points simply because he gets to the free throw line if anyone dares to think about him (much less come near him) when he's working for a shot.

He's obviously extremely skilled, which translates to impressive stats.

But "Player of the Year" should be reserved for skills + effort + guts/heart + leadership and all of the intangibles that make a skilled player a great player.

In other words, Acie Law IV.

I guess the officials also get the credit for Durant's 16 rebounds. With this game, Durant now owns the Big-12 SEASON REBOUNDING RECORD by 6 boards with still a game to play. He already owns the SEASON SCORING RECORD. This is the best season for a player in Big-12 history and it isn't even close. Acie is clutch, but what Durant is doing is rewriting the record books while getting the horns in a position to win the conference.

Take off the maroon glasses. This kid won't be a bust. He's probably one of the top-5 NBA prospects in the last 10 years.
