It's possible that the ball went OB before the TD signal but there was no indisputable visual evidence of this. Clearly Franklin crossed the goal line before the ball went OB.

that said, I don't know that it would've mattered much, the ball got out of the back of the endzone in a hurry, i don't think franklin could've caught it before it went out.
