No, it was definitely his shoulder, he was holding it and it was hanging low after he came out.

It looked to me like he was very tentative and went down several times to avoid getting hit again. He must have been hurt.

Didn't see the game. I assume it's his right shoulder?

Everyone in the know seemed to think it was was throwing shoulder. Fran wouldn't comment at the post-game, as usual.

From the alumni side, I could see that they put a bag of ice underneath his right shoulder pad.

Reggie pleaded with Coach Fran to get in at the end with 1:06 left...

that would have been crazy if we walked in to win.

Didn't he have surgery on his right shoulder earlier this year?

Yes he had surgery. Looked like a sep. shoulder from way up in sec. 313.

If there is a positive, Reggie didn't go back to the locker room or anything like that. He stayed on the sideline and looked like he could have gone back in. Could be a minor aggravation to the shoulder that he had surgery on. Bad side is that its his throwing arm so who knows. Hopefully just some sort of stinger or something.

ON an up note, we did find out that we have a pretty good backup. Branyon did one helluva job getting thrown into the fire like that. Very composed and steady. Not too shabby on his feet either.....

I think his shoulder was aleady hurting at half time. After 1st half, he was not hitting his targets. When he came off the last time, I never saw any trainers looking at him or anyone check him out. I think they already new, and new that he might not make it the whole way.

I disagree, Ol Sarge. He hit several nice passes in the 3rd quarter. But he got whacked on one of them and then hit again later on in a sack, and then got sacked again.

He didn't move his right arm during the postgame news conference, but he didn't look to have it iced either.

I can't rememeber when his passes started sailing. I thought it started at the beginning of the 3rd.

Either way, I still never saw any trainers looking at him. I still think they new excacly what the problem was prior to us knowing. Does not make any sense. He was obviously was hurting, but No trainers?

I talked to some of his family members after the game. It was his shoulder. Not sure how serious, though.

I talked to a friend of mine thats a manager not sure if I should post everything but its not seperated and they won't know how bad it is for a while. They're hoping its a deep bruise.

Don't some of you guys just think we shouldn't "talk" about this...I mean Fran obviously doesn't talk about it publicly. I don't know why we do.

Reggie never looked totally OK to me -- he threw very well in the first, but he was completely tentative running the football.

He had several opportunities to take off, and he didn't. In the 2d half, OU started leaving the middle of the field open by rushing 6, and dropping into deep coverage, but we hade no running game or QB scrambling to make them pay -- until Branyon made some late runs.

I think Reggie came in hurt, then decided to stay in the pocket to keep from taking shots.

It worked for a while.

I hope I don't get banned for typing this but I have a serious question:

When are we going to stop letting J.P. Bramhall operate on our players?

If I remember correctly some feel he is less than expert in his services. I believe he is the one who did Reggie's surgery last Spring.

If I had to guess he is probably trying to draw a connection between a botched surgery and Reggie's injuries as of this week.

Maybe we are just extremely unfortunate but it seems like we have a very HIGH rate of reinjury occuring in our players who undergo surgery.

Maybe it is just freak accidents and I am certainly not a doctor or trying to give medical advice. I would just like to see us use someone else, if for no other reason, just to get better karma.

Did we run any option plays against OU? I don't recall any which makes me think that his shoulder was tender going into the game.

Reggie scored on option play on 2nd touchdown.

I think Reggie was looking to throw first in the 1st half because he knew the OU secondary was weak and he was having a lot of success with the pass. I don't think he was protecting himself by not running the ball.

However, I did notice that he didn't run as much as he usually does. I was expecting to see more of Reggie running in the 2nd half after OU had been set up for the pass. I hope he isn't hurt seriously. I doubt we can win our final two games without him.

College Station is an hour and a half away from the city with the best medical care in America. Why don't we send the players down to Houston for their surgeries?

As someone who works in the orthopedic field and has been in surgery with Bramhall, I can honestly say he's as good a surgeon as anyone in houston. So unless you've seen him operate, not just observing results that are affected by a multitude of things (rehab, patient attidude), be careful how quick you judge.
