I wonder what the players at Tennessee are thinking knowing they lost a chance to go to the Final Four when they lost to a team that broke the rules to recruit their players?
I wonder what the players at Stanford are thinking knowing they lost a chance to go to the National Chamionship game when they lost to a team that broke the rules to recruit their players?
I wonder what the players at Notre Dame are thinking knowing they lost the National Chamionship game to a team that broke the rules to recruit their players?
Mulkey plays some of these teams during the regular season. What is she going to say or what will they say to her when they shake hands at midcourt?

I could not agree more with this article! The Women's Game is much cleaner than the men's. To see someone like KM repeatedly and knowingly violate the rules on the way to a NC just sickens me!

"The conclusion is that it’s entirely worth it to cheat."

That is the overriding message from the NCAA.

Good article...good point...NCAA and KM are as corrupt as they come...add in esipn and t.u.
where power and $$ have no equal, and you have a total sham re student athletes, the business of college athletics and the cheating going on...if pressed, I'll tell you how I really feel.

Miss me Frenar?

Of the 900,000 phone calls and text messages looked into by the NCAA, this is what was tied to WBB:
24 text messages and 74 phone calls.

Of the text messages: per the NCAA investigation, most were emails but were tied to systems allowing them to be read as text massages from the recipients end. As a result, they were counted as text, not emails.

Of the 74 phone calls, most were where no contact was made and a voice mail was left. Those calls should have been recorded but were not.

The NCAA noted that BU was already taking steps both before and after the investigation to imporve the compliance office. (IMO the wrong information from the compliance officer is what cost him his job)

Now the article cited is the author's opinion. The information I included above, with one noted exception, is fact, all from the NCAA report.

Nah, I never miss you. I know you'll be trolling about here with the Baylor spin every chance you get.

You guys are still outlaws, no matter how much you perfume the pig.

LIB, I witnessed one of those so-called legal contacts...KMs daughter on their top team was a set-up...Alexis Jones was on the second team...what does that tell you...along with one of Baylor's current starters...do the math...and before you say it....look who was on that Midway team...Cokie Reed and a TCU signee....you would have looked good
LIB

So whether you are on a first team, second team or what in AAU determines your potential, skill set, coachability?

Please explain the current level of performance of Gilbert and Cokie Reed?
LIB

I can't take credit for this tidbit of info but it is something from the glass houses department.

'Houston Chronicle sports today featured the All Greater Houston basketball picks..men and women.
Something caught my eye....

Ags and others are going nuts over the fact that Mulky and her daughter played on the same AAU team as Griner and actually had a conversation during one of the games. Some suggested that the NCAA should void our entire season and NC and using that as one piece of evidence. Well...as I read further into the interview the paper had with Courtney Williams (6'1" Guard from North Shore, A&M commit and named Girls Basketball Player of the year)..I read the following:

Q: What made A&M the right choice?
A:The lady who recruited me (Johnnie Harris), I've known her since the eighth grade. Her daughter played on my AAU team, so we got close and I guess I just wanted to be with her for my next 4 years at college. I felt I could trust her, and she's like a mother to me. We're really close"'

Now I am pretty sure this is the same Johnnie Harris that Coach Blair got from the AAU coaching ranks in Arkansas when he was with UofA and she coached the Arkasas Kamikazi (sp?).

Now I haven't researched it yet but, I am willing to bet the same year she left the AAU ranks and went to hogville that there was a pretty solid AAU player that showed up in hogville about the same time.

Frenar, hellcat, care to take the time to research this or is it something ya'lled prefer to leave alone?

LIB, I saw what I saw. KM's daughter was no way better than some of their players on DFW Elite's second team. KM was the only coach in the gym that day. If what you posted was a violation, turn it in. If it was wrong, that doesn't make the violations committed by BU right. Not sure what you mean about Gilbert and Reed.
LIB
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm not saying anyone violated anything in regards to AAU and therefore, there is nothing to report.

I'm just saying there are alot of stones being thrown from the glass house known as tamu in the direction of BU.

______________________________________________

This should probably be a new thread but, Tamu has a lot of players from Houston Elite. Aqua also coached at Houston Elite and Harris had her inroads there. Does that give MissState the upperleg on that recruting watershed and is that something that needs to be addressed with by new hires on Blair's staff?

Lib............cut the crap...........KM admitted that she crossed the line and accepted the punishment from YOUR school.....

There are time coaches can be present and times they can't........there are times they can look but no talk....her problem as stated in the report was that she talked about basketball at Baylor.....and how it would be a student at Baylor.....and texts to back it up......if she was there as a parent cheering for the team...and no texts every thing would have been al right....she wasn't acting like a parent but a recruiter during closed recruting period therefore - GUILTY as charged and ADMITTED.

From KM...

"The other matters were related to my daughter's participation in summer basketball. While I am and will always be a mother first, I do recognize that there has to be a balance between my role as a mother of a prospect and my role as a head coach. I have always tried to strike that balance and appreciate the opportunity to demonstrate to the NCAA staff such balancing efforts dating back to when Makenzie was in the seventh grade. I AM PLEASED THAT MY EFFORTS TO FIND THE APPROPRIATE BALANCE BETWEEN MOTHER AND HEAD COACH WERE RECOGNIZED."

Penalties imposed by BU and accepted by the NCAA as sufficient were related to record keeping of text and calls. Read the report.

Again, Griner had given her verbal to BU 8 months prior to any AAU contact.

With all due respect to everyone that wants to feed their hatred of BU, this is really much to do about nothing. We need to focus on getting our fan support up and meeting and beating them in the NCAA tourney next year.

rudybryan,

we'll make a sign of "GUILTY and ADMITTED" and put it next to our 2nd national championship trophy. stew on that.

there is a reason the ncaa has the word "minor" to describe some violations.

I don't see what the big deal is anyway, I read on this board many times that Griner wasn't as good as Bone, so why do you care if Baylor got the inferior player?

I think the more pertinent question is why in the h*ll you and your bu bud Lib(MrBears) feel the need to come over here and bless us with your thoughts on any subject. Why do you care what we think? We sure don't give a rat's patoot what you think.

No probation, no asterisk, no clouds, no negative public perceptions, and absolutely no need to hang out on a bu board.....

You are correct Bucketrunner and JR! I can't get the picture of KM flashing us on Breast Awareness Night last year out of my head either. Coach Blair certainly never did that!

Baylor never does anything wrong doncha know. You don't have to believe me, just ask LIB(MrBears) or bslarry - they will give you the straight scoop every time. It's all the fault of that mean ole NCAA.

(Now where is that sarcasm icon)
