Red McCombs, Drayton McLane, Past Gov Mark White, and the Past Mayor of San Antonio Phil Hardberger, ran a full page ad in the AAS today urging that the B-12 be preserved, with a long list of what would be lost. McComb could make a case that he is a major owner of TU, so has a great deal of influence.
"AN OPEN LETTER FROM BUSINESS LEADERS CONCERNING THE BIG 12"
Last bold line:
"...what we have as a conference is not only worth fighting for, it's worth waging peace for."
I suspect they are hoping to pressure TU into making some last minute deal. I do not know if it ran in other major newspapers. Much too large for me to scan, but maybe someone else can do it.
