but i think with all this pub lately we tip our way while were undeated and top ten.....creates a total package with espn....texas gaylor....sec...saga perfect time to do it.

People think before you post, seriously. Until we are in the SEC fully we could be playing a Knute Rockne resurrected from the grave led Notre Dame and the whole NCAA D1 could be on a bye and they would not come. They have hurt peepee's because we are upsetting their $300M investment.

Lsu goes to Alabama this year so they might not go next week. I've never seen them go to the same school campus twice.

Gameday was last here in 2006 for OU. Lots of fun having them, but we (literally) just ran out of time.

I don't think that there is any way that ESPN does a live broadcast from A&M. I know that they try very hard to control signs, but they have to know that some pretty unfriendly ones (unfriendly towards ESPN) would get through. They have too much riding in trying to keep the Big 12 together than to risk allowing our opinions on their station.

They owe us nothing.
Why would they provide extra exposure to the main rival of their 300 mill investment?
ESPN has made it pretty loud and clear the past 2 months they will do wahtever it takes to protect their investment.
If this was not the case; of course with all the story lines, a top 10 match up at Kyle would get the nod next week. It could change but the only other Big 12 match up that might get game day at this time would be our game in Norman. This happens to be the same weekend LSU plays at Bama. We will know next week but I would not hold my breath.
Heck if West Virgenia beats Maryland they might choose their game with LSU. If both Clemson and FSU win this week, they might pick that game. I assume ESPN is hoping these are options.
Similar to picking the crap match up over our game with the huskers last year. Was the LHN announced last fall or the spring? Maybe this is why we did not get it last year as well.

Florida vs Tennessee and Oklahoma vs Florida State are both listed on that website for this weekend. So even though this is a good find on your part, it's not necessarily a guaranteed thing.

The Arkansas/Alabama game is slated for 2:30 PM EST on CBS so I would guess gameday is coming to CS.

I think we get it because:
1. Our game is on ABC.
2. They aren't going to want to go to Bama because they'll want to save that site for a potential battle of top three teams when LSU comes to town

1.) The announcement is sometimes made as soon as mid morning on Sunday, but more likely sometime between early and late afternoon on Sunday. I do not recall them ever waiting until Monday to announce. This will be their first actual suspenseful announcement of the season since the first 3 were set all at once a couple of months ago.
2.) The only reason they wouldn't come to College Station would be the potential (read: near certainty) of some ridiculous signs bashing the crap out of them. The matchup in Fayetteville boasts a higher average ranking in the 2 polls of 0.5 (8.25 vs. 7.75). It will be an interesting decision. If you want Gameday in Aggieland next week, definitely root for LSU this week because whoever said they may hold off on covering 'Bama until LSU comes to town on Nov. 5 is quite wise.

actually, the more i think about it, the more sense it would makefor them to come here. How are they hurting their 300 mil investment by coming here? If anything, all it would do is give us more exposure which in turn would make the tu game at the end of the year even more exciing for them. Seems like a good business plan.

Deloss Dodds won't allow gameday to be in College Station. The sips have a lot power in politics, all the way to the white house, and Deloss is not afraid to call in some favors. Dont get your hopes up on this.

which Texas gameday games was Texas playing a sub par team and didnt deserve to have gameday??
if I recall last time Gamdeay was here for the OU game in 2006 neither us or OU was ranked in the top 15.
and Gameday is always an added bonus to an otherwise already exciting weekend..I personally dont care if gameday comes here..it is great if they do. I just want the 7pm primetime kickoff

Kyle will not host a Gameday this year. ESPN wants to "punish" us for upsetting the sips, the university they own. Our only chance was the OU game, which happens to fall on the LSU/Bama game. No such luck.
