I am willing to write a check for $100 for the Big 12 Exit fee. Just tell me do I need to write it to the 12th man foundation or TAMU Athletic Department?

If the total fee is $20 million, we just need 20,000 more Ags to step up. If you are willing to pay for the Ags to go to the SEC, answer "here".

Nobody writes a check. The money is withheld from conference revenue distributions.

Here. If we start at kickoff we could raise $20,000,000 before the first quarter of the SMU game is over.

While technically accurate, this statement ignores the fact that we have an athletic department budget to cover, yet we will have no Big XII revenue for this year.

You guys will fit in great in the SEC. It will be an awesome feeling to be the smartest school in the room.

Figures I was off on math-I should have stayed out of Liberal Arts and gone to the College of Business.

To join the 12th Man Foundation ($150):
www.12thmanfoundation.com/join/Default.aspx

If you're already a member of the foundation:
www.12thmanfoundation.com/Join/Gift.aspx

I encourage anyone and everyone to send what they can. The school is doing as we asked...now show them some support.

Gig em!

Word being passed around last week here was big Ag donors had already pledged the exit money to make up for the revenue loss.

Almost 300k people follow A&M on fb. Just have everyone wire $10 to the school. Done.

Already donated a grand this year. Just sign up with the 12th man foundation. All the money goes into the same pocket.

Psst... don't tell anybody that. You're costing the school donation money.

You know TexAgs isn't going to throw up a door and start checking IDs, right? You CAN stick around.

Further, come back after your Baylor game this year, we'll bump this thread and we can all hold hands and join in laughter one last time.

We are a comedy act. And yes, you will miss us in the form of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$'s

But us missing you, well, not so much.

ESPN will file the law suit in about 3 years. And no more horns on SportCenter. Dang it.

To the OP,
While the gesture is certainly honorable, the increased ticket prices I've been paying in the Byrne era should more than cover any exit fee we may have to pay.

Still don't understand this whole, "we'll miss the money so we'll keep playing the ags" argument. Maybe after reading the math challenged in this thread maybe I do.

You guys do know that we sellout our games regardless don't you? It snot like we need an ag game to sell tickets. We make the same money from an ag home game as we do a Baylor one because we've been selling out all of our season tickets for years...and we sell a lot more than just 44,000 of them.

Actually, if you want to talk about money, that's another reason why it would be better to not play you. You guys are just another ooc game for us now so if we were just thinking money, we could bring in any of several mid-tier, non-bcs conference teams for home games and not need to reciprocate at their home. That "replacement" game could be a hoe game for us each year if we wanted to.

So yo guys might want to think a bit before you start talking and showing your ignorance.

Whole mess of fail in this here post.

TV $$$, hotel $$$, travel $$$, and whatever else all dwarf ticket money in terms of importance. In other words, 80K actual fans in your stadium makes you more money than 90K figurative ones with an actual attendance of less than 70K. It is far better for Austin's overall economy to host A&M than it is to host BFE State College. Not to mention the fact that people who are actually at the stadium pay for parking, food, souvenirs, and just generally funnel money into the school and community. AND playing A&M on Thanksgiving increases your national presence. Nobody will tune in to watch you play UTSA, people won't actually come to your stadium, and nobody will care about your team except for that one weekend you play OU. Also, a weaker SoS means a less prestigious bowl and less money. Sorry, but your argument sucks.
