i kinda wondered the same thing, but i guess someone has to give it a whirl for the rest of us.

a 8-12 year old would order a burger from V & A's. anyone older than that better have ordered a ribeye on the side.

Most of those pictures are courtesy of Alison Cook who runs a Burger Fridays column for the Chronicle.

Can't say I'd go for a burger at V&A over a nice rare cut, but somewhere like Taste of Texas and other overpriced steakhouses, the burger is very often better than their prime cuts, and certainly a better value.

of all the burgers pictured, the V&A one makes me the least erect.

Rockwell's is in cypress, on telge near cypress n houston.

it's worth the trip. the buns are amazing.

ps - i just ate lunch and now i'm f-ing hungry and drooling over these burgers.

rockwells has about 150 beers too. best selection anywhere in that area. and the person in charge of those beers is a homebrewer and knows her stuff. (you don't want rule #1 on this)

You forgot Blake's BBQ. Taken not more than one hour ago (sorry it isn't a quality picture)...

seems like Allison Cook likes her burgers overdone, which would explain that charred piece of meat that V&A produced.

Just ate there. Love the place. Eating buffalo is American as hell and it's leaner than turkey.

Kind of intrigued by this one. While certainly not gooey enough, i bet that pattie is amazing...bet its almost medium rare on the inside.

The Burger Guys is incredible! They make everything in house, down to the ketchup. The meat is from a strain of Kobe beef. It is owned by a couple well known Houston chefs, so the sauces is their specialty. The soda they sell is "bootlegged" from Dublin Tx, so its all real sugar. Good stuff, I highly recommend this place.

Yeah it's pretty good. Not the best burger in Houston by anymeans, but better than a lot of places. I don't know about their BBQ though, only have had their burger.

On a side note, I had a Blackened Chicken Sandwich from Texas Hamburger Palace on Tuesday and that thing was bad ****ing ass. Definitely recommend that place for you West Houston people.
